Yard Sale Booth

Due to the heavy rain forecasted from Tropical Storm Cindy, our neighborhood yard sale originally scheduled for this weekend has been rescheduled for July 14-15. We will post more details when it gets closer. The good thing about that is that we will have more veggies to offer in another three week's time!

In the meantime, you can still order squash, cucumbers, zucchini, green beans, green onions, kohlrabi, green bell peppers, green Anaheim chile peppers, basil, shiso perilla and black soldier fly grubs. Contact us to secure your stash!

More Landscaping

     Here are some pictures from a landscaping job we did last week. We put in all new plants, a fresh weed barrier and a covering of peat moss for the base to give it a natural and simple look. The plants we used to fill these two spaces on either side of a backyard raspberry patch included hosta, shamrock plants, Solomon's Seal, violets, ferns, lilies, trillium and more. We also installed a pole for a hummingbird feeder and a hanging basket of strawberries. We can do something similar for you. Contact us to talk about your landscaping needs!

     Don't forget we offer landscaping services here at Sweetwater Farms! We can help trim your current bushes or trees, weed your garden and flower bed, or design that dream landscaping you have always wanted. We also offer lawn mowing and care service to our immediate neighbors. We have now expanded our coverage area from Balthrop Rd only to include Oaklawn Rd and Lewis Rd.      If you're ready for a complete overhaul, maybe consider some new bushes and flowers like this landscaping we remodeled recently with new weed barrier, new wood chips, new plants and trimming of the bushes they wanted to keep.

Fishing, Feeding and Composting

     Black Soldier Fly grubs are ready! These little grubs are great for fishing, feeding pets such as reptiles and birds, and starting you own compost. They pack loads of protein for your pets and can speed up composting to levels which you have never dreamed of, which can cut down on the smell of your pile and get the compost to your garden quicker.      The grubs sell for $3 for a pack of 50, $5 for 100. Other quantities are also available with discounted prices for the more you purchase. We are still unable to ship the grubs at this time. Contact us to make your order and we will fetch them from our composting area and package them up for you to pick them up at the farm, or we can deliver to local addresses for a fee.

     Just a reminder that today is the final day to get in your orders to be part of the Fall/Winter Growing Services Program. We can grow specialty pumpkins, winter squash, carrots, onions, garlic, kale and more for you over the cooler months, but you have to notify us by today!
